Circumtour Canyonlands Map

$50.00

Printed on 24"x36" Tyvek paper.

The Circumtour is the neoclassical U.S. expedition circumnavigating Utah’s Canyonlands Park Districts: Island in the Sky, Needles, and Maze. The route is roughly 560 miles (900 kilometers) of nearly contiguous dirt tracks with small unavoidable pavement portions near the towns of Green River in the North, Moab, and Hite Station in the South.

Few looped routes in the contiguous United States can claim the length of dirt roads, diversity of landscape, and remoteness as The Circumtour. Wide desert vistas, big sky, badlands, river swimming, challenging roads, and the quintessentially unique geographic features of the American Southwest are all available; at many times all at once. This tour tests vehicles, drivers and passengers, and logistical competency of the planning parties.

Camping options abound in non-National Park areas, much of the area traversed is US Bureau of Land Management. This overland tour is absolutely defining in its nature and scope.
